Personal Statement
Graham Stewart has been making fine silverware as well as precious jewellery from his Dunblane workshop for over 20 years. Using smithing techniques such as forging, raising, carving and engraving he creates clean, simple forms, often echoing the curves and rhythms of nature. In his work, birds, fish and trees are often ‘remembered’ with a gold motif or poetry, beautifully engraved. More recently he has been interested in creating ‘table sculpture’ such as candlesticks and bowls inspired by seed forms.

His mainstay is still, however, engraved bowls, spoons, candlesticks, major pieces of holloware and jewellery. Graham has his own gallery above his workshop and is always available for commissions.
