Personal Statement
My silverware and jewellery uses inlays of exotic woods or
abalone, mother of pearl and or paua shells or stones such as
malachite,
turquoise,
lapis lazuli,
amethyst, etc., to add colour and for functional reasons (for example, handles on knives to overcome finger marks). Most of my work carries a high polish and minimal decoration. I seek to produce innovative yet timeless pieces that are comfortable to wear and or use.
