| Aura returns with a Dutch glow... |

| Four Yorkshire Jewellers are returning to Burton Agnes Hall this month with a second Aura selling exhibition. |

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Aura exhibition, ‘four Yorkshire Jewellers’ (Who’s Who subscribers Pamela Dickinson and Jacqueline Stieger along with Jacqueline Warrington and Emma Sedman) are returning to the elegant environs of Burton Agnes Hall for a second, larger event in October this year. This year’s Aura will have “a Dutch glow” as the latest collections from the Four Yorkshire Jewellers are augmented by nine guest jewellers from The Netherlands. Although well known in their own country, most of the Dutch artists have never previously shown their work in England.
The guest artists from Holland will bring a wide range of ideas, materials, techniques and personalities ranging from Mary van der Sluis, who has worked on the crown jewels for the Sultan of Johor in Malaysia, to Jan Matthesius who has just won the Schoonhoven Silver Prize for his artwork Treasure of New Life. The Aura regulars, meanwhile, have also been involved in some prestigious projects, with Emma Sedman now exhibiting and selling her enamelled silver jewellery in New York.
Aura offers the opportunity to buy distinctive and original work directly from the artist. The aura of Aura is enhanced even further by Burton Agnes Hall, the magnificent Elizabethan house where it is held. Entrance to the Aura exhibition is included in the entrance price to the hall (a very reasonable £5.50 for adults).
Aura will be held between 20-22 October 2006, with opening hours between 11am and 5pm.
